The Limitless Awards

THE LIMITLESS LIST

Ms. JD’s Limitless List acknowledges the exceptional achievements and contributions of women law students and early career attorneys (in their first 12 years of practice) who are driving change in their law school communities and the legal profession. Their passion, dedication, and commitment to empowering women in law is inspirational.

LIMITLESS LEADERSHIP AWARDS

The prestigious Ms. JD Limitless Leadership Award celebrates (1) a promising woman law student, (2) exceptional woman attorneys (who have been practicing for 12 or more years), and (3) a pioneering organization embodying a spirit of excellence and a deep commitment to advancing gender equity in the legal profession. Presented by Ms. JD at the annual Limitless Awards & Gala, this award honors the women and organizations who have gone above and beyond in their leadership, in their innovative gender equity initiatives, and in their exceptional commitment to empowering and inspiring future generations of women lawyers.

Nominations for the 2025 Limitless Awards are now closed. Award recipients will be notified by the end of November, and will be announced publicly in early December.

ELIGIBILITY

  • The Nominator must be a member of the Ms. JD online community.  (Join here.)
  • The Nominee is either a current woman law student in an accredited law school in the United States, a woman lawyer, or an organization.  To be eligible for a Limitless Leadership Award, a woman attorney must have been practicing for 12 or more years. To be eligible for Ms. JD's Limitless List, a woman attorney must be in her first 12 years of practice.
  • Self-nominating is allowed.

NOMINATION INFORMATION

  • Nominations may only be submitted via the online form.
  • Applications are due by October 27, 2024 at 11:59 pm ET.
  • Honorees will be notified by November 28, 2024.
  • The Selection Committee will not disclose any information outside of the closed selection process. 
  • Nominees may also be asked for additional information during the selection process, if deemed necessary.
  • Honorees will be recognized at the Ms. JD Limitless Awards & Gala on April 24, 2025 at the Julia Morgan Ballroom in San Francisco, California.
  • Leadership Award Winners will receive 1 complimentary ticket to the Limitless Awards & Gala, where they will be asked to give a short speech to the audience.

All Limitless List and Leadership Awardees will receive national recognition online and via social media.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I submit myself for a Limitless Award?

Yes, we accept self-nominations. If you are nominating yourself for a Leadership Award, you will need to provide the name and email address of two additional people who can speak to your qualifications. They will receive a short survey to fill out to add to your nomination.

Can I submit more than one nomination?

Yes, you are welcome to submit nominations for multiple people.

What do I need to fill out the nomination form?

You will be asked to provide the nominee's contact information, basic biographical information (such as law school or firm name), and to upload the nominee's resume.

If you are submitting a nomination for the Limitless List, you will also be asked to write a paragraph about the nominee's qualifications, and will have the option to upload additional materials (such as letters of recommendation or publications).

If you are submitting a nomination for the Leadership Awards, you will be asked to provide the name and contact information of two people who can provide further information on the nominee. These people will receive a short survey to fill out, asking a few targeted questions about the nominee's qualifications.

Can I submit someone to be considered for both the Limitless List and the Leadership Award?

Law students can be considered for both the Limitless List and the Leadership Award. When filling out the nomination form, you will see an option for them to be considered for both.

For attorneys and law professionals, the awards are divided by years of experience. Attorneys with less than 12 years of practice may only be considered for the Limitless List. Attorneys with more than 12 years of practice may only be considered for the Leadership Award.

Can I include my name as one of the two contacts who will receive the additional survey for the Leadership Award?

If you are submitting a nomination for someone else, you can include yourself as one of the two people who will receive a short survey about the nominee. If you are submitting a nomination for yourself, you must include the names and emails of two additional people to fill out the survey.

When will the award winners be announced?

Limitless Award recipients will be notified in November, and the announcement will go out publicly on our social media pages and website in early December.
