MS. JD'S LIMITLESS LIST

Ms. JD’s "Limitless List" awards program is a prestigious recognition dedicated to acknowledging the exceptional achievements and contributions of women law students and early career attorneys who are driving change in law school communities and the legal profession. These honorees are at the forefront of advancing gender equity within the legal profession. Their passion, dedication, and commitment to empowering women in law is not just commendable, it is inspirational.

ELIGIBILITY

  • The Nominator must be a member of the Ms. JD online community.  (Join here.)
  • The Nominee is either a current law student in an accredited law school in the United States or a law school graduate from an accredited law school in the United States within the first ten years after graduation.  
  • Self-nominating is allowed.

NOMINATION INFORMATION

  • Nominations may only be submitted via the online form.
  • Applications are due by January 31, 2024 at 11:59 pm ET.
  • Honorees will be notified by February 12, 2024.
  • The Selection Committee will not disclose any information outside of the closed selection process.  However, nominators are solely responsible for determining the types of information they are permitted to disclose to the Selection Committee.
  • Nominees may also be asked for additional information during the selection process, if deemed necessary.
  • Honorees will be recognized at the Ms. JD Limitless Awards & Gala, April 11, 2024 at the Skirball Cultural Center in Los Angeles, California.
  • Honorees will receive a complimentary registration to attend Ms. JD’s annual We Persist: A Symposium on Women in Law on April 12, 2024 at the Skirball Cultural Center.

Ms. JD’s Limitless List Honorees will receive national recognition online and via social media.

Is there one list for law students and one list for early career attorneys ?


Yes.  The selection committee will select law students and early career attorneys to be recognized on two distinct Limitless Lists.

Can I nominate myself or do I need someone to nominate me?


Yes, all self-nominations are welcome, and you do not need someone to nominate you.


If I am nominated more than once or submit more than one application, are my chances of winning greater?


No, Ms. JD’s Limitless List awards are given to those that meet the criteria and exemplify a broad range of dedication, determination, and the desire to make a meaningful impact to the profession and their communities. They are chosen by a selection committee and only one submission per person will be read.


Can someone be nominated for both the Limitless List Awards and the Leadership Awards?


Yes, if an individual meets the qualifications for both awards programs they may be nominated for both. They will, however, only receive recognition for one of the awards programs.

What if I do not finish my application?

Incomplete applications are not recorded, therefore are disqualified. You will receive a thank you message at the end and confirmation that your submission was recorded.
